Dear Members & Associates,

The year is nearing the mid-point. Right out of the gate, I want to challenge everyone to sign up for the bowling tournament to be held on Wednesday, June 4. Lisa will be resending the details of the event for you to sign up. This will be an excellent opportunity for all of us to meet again to network and catch up on all the changes in our industry during 2008.

2008 has had a lot of headlines — “Lender Oversight”, “The New SOP”, “The Shrinking Secondary Market”, and “The 7a Loan Production Decreases”. These impactful issues are the talk of the industry. Training & education has been the HAGGL mantra this year. You have seen the increase in the use of “webinars” and conference calls to reach people on a national basis by NAGGL and Coleman. We hope to continue to offer more opportunities for growth throughout this year.

HAGGL is your local hub to link up with the SBA, SCORE, the SBDC’s, the Associates, and NAGGL. This is why attendance at our quarterly luncheons, training programs, and social get-togethers, such as this year’s bowling networking event or the annual golf tournament, are so vitally important to increasing the communication and building those invaluable relationships. I really hope to see each and every one of you on June 4. Who knows, there might even be an Elvis sighting in the building? Lisa will be emailing you the invitation so please sign up as soon as possible so that we can get a good head count.
